Accredited delivery. All qualifications on this site are offered by Evolutionary Mind Centre of Higher Learning (Pty) Ltd, accredited by the QCTO as a skills development provider from 16 January 2026 to 15 January 2031, in partnership with The Beauty Collective. Accreditation numbers 07-QCTO/SDP270126110611 and 07-QCTO/SDP270126121630. Training takes place at the accredited site in Pretoria Gardens, Pretoria.
Who issues my certificate?Qualifications
The nine specialisations are part-qualifications of the full Beauty Therapist certificate. Credits you earn in one count toward the full qualification later.
Full qualification
Career paths: beauty therapist, spa therapist, salon professional or salon owner.
The broad salon base: consultation, facial skincare, nails, make-up, grooming and hair removal, with product knowledge and retail.
Skin analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, manual facial massage and masks, plus home-care advice.
Consultation and contra-indications, full-body relaxation massage routines, posture and body mechanics, aftercare.
Body treatments and body massage for spa and salon settings.
Body care treatments such as exfoliation and wraps, with client care and hygiene.
Natural nail care: manicure and pedicure, cuticle work, shaping, polish and aftercare.
Consultation and look planning, colour and face shape, day, evening and bridal looks, retail advice.
Consultation and patch testing, waxing for face and body, aftercare and client comfort.
Brow shaping and mapping, brow and lash tinting, patch testing and eye-area safety.
All ten are registered on the NQF by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) under curriculum 514201-001-00-00. Gel, acrylic and other nail enhancements are not part of these qualifications. We offer them as separate short courses, listed below.

We check your documents and entry requirements and sign your learner agreement with Evolutionary Mind.
Theory and supervised practical work in the training salon, on real clients.
We place you with a host salon or spa to complete your workplace modules.
You sit the national external assessment. When you pass, the QCTO issues your certificate.
For salon and spa owners
Our learners complete their workplace hours in real salons. Register your salon to be considered as a host for learners, and help train your future staff.
Practical add-on skills taught by The Beauty Collective. You receive a certificate of attendance, not a national qualification.

For learners
Every qualification includes workplace modules done in a real salon. You are responsible for finding a host salon. We help by keeping a register of salons willing to host learners and introducing you where we can, but we cannot guarantee a placement. Learners without a placement can do supervised hours in our Friday training salon clinic, while places last.
For qualified therapists
Nail stations, treatment rooms and recliners are available by the half day, full day or month.
Training salon
The Beauty Collective is also a working salon, open to the public. Every treatment on this menu is one our learners train in, so you get professional care and help a new therapist qualify.

Questions
The QCTO issues the certificate once you pass the external assessment. Evolutionary Mind Centre of Higher Learning is the accredited provider that delivers your training. The Beauty Collective provides the training salon.
Our QCTO accreditation numbers are 07-QCTO/SDP270126110611 (Beauty Therapist, Nail, Eye Grooming, Body, Make-Up, Temporary Hair Removal and Body Care) and 07-QCTO/SDP270126121630 (Manual Skincare, Beauty Practitioner and Body Massage). You can confirm them with the QCTO.
Yes. Each specialisation is a part of the full Beauty Therapist qualification, so the credits count toward it.
The full Beauty Therapist qualification needs NQF Level 3 (Grade 11) with Mathematical Literacy. If you have experience in a salon but not the school level, ask us about Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Email us for the requirements of a specific specialisation.
Fees and duration differ per qualification. The full Beauty Therapist qualification takes about a year; most specialisations take three to six months. Email us for the current fee list and payment options.
At our QCTO-accredited training site, 485 Hanny Street, Pretoria Gardens, Pretoria. Workplace experience takes place at a host salon or spa.
